Student Cancellation, Refund & Reschedule Policy

  1. Cancellation of Lessons by Student

1.1 Students may cancel a scheduled lesson without penalty provided that such cancellation is made via the Platforms designated dispute form or customer support channel at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time. 
1.2 Cancellations received within less than 48 hours of the lesson time are not eligible for a refund and will result in the forfeiture of the session fee unless exceptional circumstances are demonstrated and accepted by Instruct Me. 
1.3 Refunds, if granted, shall be provided in the form of Platform credit or returned to the original payment method, subject to processing timeframes.

1.3a Instruct Me recognises that exceptional circumstances (e.g. dangerous weather condition or medical emergencies) may occasionally require short notice cancelations. Such cases will be reviewed individually, and instructors are encouraged to notify learners and the platform as promptly as possible when such issues arise. 

1.4 Instruct Me reserves the right to monitor and assess cancellation behaviour to maintain service reliability and protect the learner experience.

  1. Instructor No-Show or Lesson Not Delivered

2.1 If an Instructor fails to attend a lesson or is more than 15 minutes late without sufficient notice, the Student is entitled to request:

  • A full refund,
  • A replacement Instructor, or
  • A rescheduled session at no additional cost.

2.2 Such incidents must be reported within 24 hours via the designated dispute form or customer support channel to be eligible for resolution or reimbursement. 
2.3 Instruct Me will investigate all claims and reserves the right to take corrective action including removing Instructors from the Platform in the event of substantiated no-show behaviour.

  1. Rescheduling by Student

3.1 Students may reschedule a lesson via the Platform with no penalty up to 48 hours in advance of the scheduled start time. 
3.2 Requests to reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to Instructor approval and are not guaranteed.

3.3 If the Instructor declines or does not respond to a short notice reschedule request, the lesson credit may be given back to the student within 72 hours or be forfeited at the discretion of Instruct Me.

  1. Refund Processing

4.1 Refunds will only be considered if the Student cancels in accordance with the timeline outlined in Clause 1.1 or where Instruct Me determines that the Instructor was at fault. 
4.2 Refunds may take 5-10 business days to reflect, depending on the payment method. 
4.3 Instruct Me is not liable for any banking delays or third-party processing issues. 
4.4 Instruct Me’s refund decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
